Finer, more maneuverable, and, according to Merkel's own statements, a bit more beautiful than its predecessors K3 and K4, the new Merkel K5 break-action rifle is designed to be dynamic and elegant while remaining 100% functional. The rifle is equipped with a separate manual cocker that is extremely quiet and requires very little force to operate. It is designed with an extremely short and easily disassembled tilting block, rendering the firearm quickly inoperable. The redesigned trigger system is adjustable in length and laterally. With a trigger weight of only 600g and a wider trigger shoe, the Merkel K5's finely nitrided titanium trigger is easy to use with all fingers and hand shapes.
The pistol grip and forend are elegantly finished with ebony. The Grade 4 wooden stock features sling swivel studs. The 17mm diameter fluted barrel is equipped with the removable universal i-Sight sighting system and an M15x1 muzzle thread. The sights can be quickly removed with a provided hex key.
